On Dec. 20, 2019, Sydney experienced its worst hailstorm in 20 years. The amount of damage was over 1.2 billion US dollars including damage to vehicles. More than 70,000 cars were affected. Some of the hailstones were up to 7 cm in diameter.

Specialists from all over the world were needed because the Australian hail technicians could not handle this
repair volume on their own.
